About me and my therapy practice

Do you ever feel like you’re running on empty — stuck in a loop of stress, overwhelm, or emotional exhaustion, even though you’re doing everything you can to keep going?

You may seem like you’re managing on the outside — capable, composed, showing up for others — but inside, it feels like something is missing. Perhaps the weight of past trauma, grief, daily demands, or persistent low mood has left you feeling numb, anxious, lost, or simply disconnected. Sometimes, this shows up in the body too — fatigue, tension, poor sleep, or feeling physically unwell for reasons that are hard to name.

Even though it may feel like you're broken inside — as if your heart or body is burdened by everything you've been through — I want you to know that healing is not only possible but within your reach. The pain you’re carrying isn’t a flaw; it's a natural response to difficult life experiences. Together, we can gently work through those parts of you that feel stuck, helping you reconnect with your strength, clarity, and sense of self.

I take a holistic mind-body approach, grounded in the belief that true healing happens when we feel safe, understood, and supported. I combine evidence-based and innovative therapies, each carefully tailored to meet your unique needs and pace.

Many of the people I work with come to me feeling stuck — held back by the impact of trauma, loss, depression, or relentless anxiety. The pressure of daily demands and emotional strain can leave you feeling like you're living on autopilot. Our work focuses on helping you reconnect with the present moment and begin responding to life, rather than constantly reacting to it.

You’ll learn to understand your emotional patterns, develop self-compassion, and uncover new ways of relating to yourself — not with judgment, but with curiosity and care. You already have the capacity for change within you. My role is to help you access it.

With 30 years of experience in oncology, palliative, and community nursing, and over 10 years in bereavement care and counselling, I offer a grounded and compassionate space tailored to your pace and your needs. I’ll walk alongside you, offering support as you move toward greater balance, ease, and emotional clarity.

My first session

I understand that starting therapy can feel like a big step, whether it’s your first time or you've tried different approaches before. The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to share what has brought you here. It’s a time to talk through any concerns, explore your needs, and begin to discuss the goals you’d like to achieve together.

In our first meeting, we’ll focus on understanding your unique situation, and I’ll introduce you to the therapy process. I’ll ask you some questions to gain a deeper insight into what you’re experiencing and what you hope to change or achieve. I’ll also explain my approaches and how they might support your journey.

This session isn’t just about me getting to know you — it’s also an opportunity for you to see whether I’m the right fit and whether you feel comfortable working together. A strong therapeutic relationship is built on trust and collaboration, so your sense of ease and safety is essential.

We’ll discuss expectations, and if you feel ready, we can start planning the next steps of your therapy. Therapy is a process, and while the first session is a beginning, we will continue to work together at your pace to create the changes you want in your life.

I’m here to make the process as easy as possible for you, and there’s no pressure to decide anything on the spot. Whether you choose to move forward or not, you’ll have the clarity you need to make the decision that’s right for you.
