About me and my therapy practice
Sex and relationships are shaped by how we have learned to be close. In moments of intimacy, do you find yourself going through the motions or struggling to feel truly connected? Do past experiences show up in ways that are difficult to understand, making trust, desire or intimacy feel confusing or out of reach? What feels hard now may echo what came before.
I offer a space where these patterns can be explored with care and curiosity. I work from a Gestalt perspective, which invites us to notice what is happening in the present moment, with the belief that change begins with awareness. Together, we can explore what gets in the way of feeling connected, grounded or at ease, and begin to shift patterns that may be repeating in your relationships.
My practice is collaborative, sex positive and nonjudgemental. I welcome individuals and couples of all backgrounds who want to understand themselves more deeply, navigate intimacy with greater confidence, or feel more present in their relationships. I bring warmth, honesty and attentiveness to the work and aim to create a space where you feel seen and accepted as you are.
Practice description
I became a therapist because I believe growth begins in honest connection, both with ourselves and with someone who listens without judgment. My approach is grounded in Gestalt therapy and also informed by person centred and attachment based thinking. Together, we can slow down and pay attention to how you respond, relate and make meaning of your experience, often in ways you may not have fully noticed before.
I see everything we do as having made sense in the context it was shaped. That includes coping strategies and relational patterns which may no longer serve you but once helped you feel safe or in control. Through this process, new awareness can emerge, supporting you to feel more choiceful in how you relate to others and to yourself.
Common themes in my practice include trust, communication, sexual difficulties, desire discrepancy, anxiety, identity, trauma and recovery from experiences of abuse. I also support people exploring kink, sexual identity or the role of shame and embodiment in their intimate lives.
I have worked in both NHS and private settings and currently practice at Kensington Counselling Rooms and The Awareness Centre. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy from Middlesex University and a Foundation Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am a registered member of COSRT and ŠÊ˜·³ÇëŠ×ÓÍÆË].
My first session
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and see whether it feels right to work together. I will ask some questions to understand what is bringing you to therapy now, and you will have space to speak about anything that feels important to you. You are welcome to ask questions about how I work or about the therapy process in general.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. My intention is to offer a space where you feel supported, respected and met with genuine interest, so that over time we can explore what matters to you most.
